What We Believe

  • The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1: 21)

  • The Trinity

We believe in the triune Godhead existing as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – three in one and one in three. (2 Cor. 13:14)

  • Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth and sinless life, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, and His ascension to the right hand of the Father. (Mathew 1:18; Philippians 2:6-11; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4)

  • The Church

We believe that it’s the responsibility of the church to proclaim, teach, demonstrate, and spread the Gospel as His ambassadors until His return. (Acts 1:8; Mark 16:15-18)

  • Sin

We believe that man was created good and upright but fell from grace by voluntary transgression, thereby incurring spiritual death, which is separation from God. (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6; Romans 5:12-19)

  • Salvation

We believe in a personal salvation through the atoning work of Jesus Christ for all who, by God’s grace, repent of sin and who, by faith, receive and confess Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior unto new life. (Ephesians 2:8-10; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9-10)

  • Sanctification

We believe in sanctification and the pursuit of holiness, living an overcoming life as God’s design for the Church, the Bride of Christ. (1 John 3:3-10, 4:18; 2 Peter 1:1-11)

  • The Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as on the day of Pentecost, and as a promise for all believers (Acts 2:4, 4:30, 10:46, 19:6); and in the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit as evidenced in gifts, ministries, and fruit of the Spirit. (Ephesians 4:11, 1 Corinthians 12:8-11; Galatians 5:22-23)

  • Christ's Return

We believe in Christ’s imminent, personal return in power and great glory, and in His everlasting dominion. (Acts 1:11; Daniel 7:14)

  • The Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the former unto eternal life, the latter unto eternal punishment. (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:15)

  • The Sacraments

We believe in baptism by immersion in water, following repentance and in the regular observation of the Lord’s Supper as ordinances to be practiced in the assembly. (Acts 2:38; John 3:5; 1 Corinthians 11:23)

  • The Church Body

We believe that it is both the duty and privilege of every member to support the local fellowship with active presence, giving, and service, according to individual ability.
